Please note:
On Buddhist holidays in Thailand it is forbidden to sell alcohol. Tourists can get alcohol in the hotel’s restaurants and bars, but outside of the hotel alcohol is taboo. Similarly on election days in Thailand there is a general alcohol ban. This goes on for 24 hours before and 24 hours after the election and applies to the whole country.
